D-tree’s Commitment to Leadership and Innovation through the Marc Mitchell Award

We are excited to announce that this year’s Marc Mitchell Leadership & Innovation Award is now open. D-tree is thrilled to announce that we are, for the first time, sponsoring two awardees through the Global Digital Health Network.

Despite progress in global health, not everyone has been benefitting equally. At D-tree, we believe that innovation can accelerate our vision of a world where everyone, no matter where, has access to the healthcare they need to lead longer, healthier lives. Our commitment to improving health and saving lives has been central to us since the inception of D-tree by founder, Dr. Marc Mitchell. A pioneer in saving lives by leveraging technology, Dr. Mitchell recognized the transformative potential of digital tools for health workers and established D-tree in 2004.

In light of our 20th anniversary year and in honor of Dr. Mitchell, who passed away in 2019, we are thrilled to support the Marc Mitchell Innovation & Leadership Award. Created by the Global Digital Health Network in memory of Dr. Mitchell, this award aims to inspire and nurture health professionals dedicated to improving healthcare delivery through innovative digital technologies.

Award recipients will receive financial support to attend the Global Digital Health Forum in Nairobi this year and benefit from a year of mentorship provided by the Global Digital Health Network Advisory Council.
